Florida Statutes, Rules, and Regulations Common to All Lines
An insurer suspects an appointee's conduct falls short of good moral character but files the appointment anyway. What does section 626.451 require?
Answer and explanation
Answer: B. Section 626.451(2) requires the appointing entity to certify that an investigation was made and that, in its opinion and to the best of its knowledge and belief, the licensee is of good moral character and reputation and is fit to engage in the business. An entity holding the opposite belief cannot honestly make that certification. The statute provides no conditional appointment and no referral route in its place.Source: Fla.
