Terms of Use

1. Agreement

These Terms are an agreement between you and Bohdan Svitlyk, operating Life License Exam (“we”, “us”), for the Life Insurance License Exam iOS app (the “App”) and the website (the “Site”). By using them you accept these Terms. The agreement is between you and us only, not Apple.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the App on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules, including Family Sharing where available.

3. Maintenance and support

We alone are responsible for maintenance and support of the App. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support. Contact us at examprepappios@gmail.com.

4. Warranty

We are responsible for any product warranty not effectively disclaimed. If the App fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; to the maximum extent permitted by law Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.

5. Product claims

We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the App, including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.

6. Intellectual property claims

If a third party claims that the App or your use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of that claim.

8. Third-party beneficiary

Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, once you accept them, have the right to enforce them against you.

9. Exam preparation only

The App and Site provide practice material for state life insurance licensing exams. They are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any state department of insurance, Pearson VUE, PSI or any other testing provider.

We do not guarantee that you will pass any exam. Readiness scores, estimates and study plans are study aids calculated from your answers, not predictions of an official result. Licensing rules and exam outlines change — confirm current requirements with your state and the testing provider.

Questions are written against published sources and reviewed, but errors are possible. If you believe an answer is wrong, report it in the App or email examprepappios@gmail.com.

10. Purchases and subscriptions

  • The free version includes the diagnostic, explanations, spaced review and a daily practice allowance.
  • Premium unlocks unlimited practice, full mock exams and the full topic breakdown, as a one-time purchase or a monthly auto-renewing subscription. Prices are shown in the App before purchase.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
  • A subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
  • If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends. Any unused part of a trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
  • Manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your device. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
  • Use “Restore Purchases” in the App to restore purchases on a new device.

11. Refunds

Purchases are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

12. Acceptable use

Do not copy, scrape, resell or republish the questions and explanations; reverse engineer the App; share your account; or use the App unlawfully or in violation of the App Store terms.

13. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

14. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms; your license then ends immediately.

15. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The App and Site are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including the outcome of any exam or licensing decision. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

16. Changes

We may update these Terms. The effective date shows the latest version; for material changes we will notify you in the App. Continued use after a change means you accept it.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator's place of business, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live, including for users in the EU/EEA.
